Balasana

Balasana is a resting pose that can be sequenced between more challenging asanas or to rest during an asana if required.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Kneel on the floor. Your knees should be as wide as your hips and your big toes should be together. Then sit back on your heels.
Step 2: As you exhale, lean forwards until your torso is between your thighs. Lengthen your tailbone.
Step 3: Place your hands on the floor in front of you, palms spread and placed firmly on the floor. Relax the fronts of your shoulders toward the floor. Allow the weight to pull the shoulder blades wide across your back.
